It was a slow and quiet Saturday so far; the weekend was going to be over in a blink of an eye and I had nothing to do.  A knock at the door had awakened me from my bored state of mind.  Taking the pen from the board, I signed my name on the line and accepted the package.  Thanking the delivery driver, I shut the screen door and reviewed the contents on the box.

“Slow Seduction... what in the hell is this?”

The box was addressed to Wendy and although I debated on opening it, I was more concerned on when she planned on using it.  Setting the box down on the counter, I got a drink to mellow out.  Every time I got close to the point where I was able to let go; another thought popped in my head.

“Why is she getting mail at my house?  I thought I told her to get a p.o. box?”

I just could not let go; the harder I tried, the more questions I had.  If she were here right now, she would have some explaining to do… The doorbell rang and I quickly jotted to the door.

“Hello, Ms. Bryson” he said standing there covered in brown with a smile that could melt my heart.

“Hello Marcus; how are you today?”

“Great and thanks for asking” he said as he took his time undressing me with his eyes.

“Uh – Marcus; do you have something for me?”

“Oh sorry; I have a package for a Wendy Kemp addressed here, can you sign for it?”

His eyebrows rose at me as if he was hinting around at something.  He was acting all suspicious and I didn’t understand why he was behaving so oddly.

“Sure Marcus; while you are here, do you have anything else for me?  I am expecting some literary material.”

“Nope, not today Ms. Bryson; but I am sure to keep a lookout” he said giggling.

“Excuse me Marcus; is everything okay with you today?  You are really acting loopy.  Do I need to make a call for you or something?”

“No… not at all” he said as he started to walk away.

I kept my eyes on him wondering what in the hell his problem was.  I knew he liked to hold a conversation with me every chance he got, but today was different.  He turned around and rushed back towards my door.

“Ms. Bryson, you don’t have to be ashamed of what you ordered.  No need for you to change your name on stuff so that I won’t know that it belongs to you.  Heck, I find it rather inviting that an older woman such as yourself is still vibrant and willing.”

“Vibrant… Willing… What?”

He stood there with this saucer sized smile on his face and I was ready to crack it up.  I was stunned at first and I couldn’t wrap my mind around where all of this was coming from.  Then I looked down at the mid-size box on the porch; bending over I took a closer look at the sender’s name.

“Pleasure Packing & Lo-Jacking”

I was about ready to fall over when I saw the name.  Having a time trying to find the right words to come from my mouth; I opened it, just to have hot air come out.

“Marcus, you can’t possibly think that I would order from this company… but even if I did, what gives you the right to read my things?”

“Whoa, now Ms. Bryson don’t get the wrong idea here; you see I too order from that company that sells sex toys and other products.  I recognized the box when I was loading my truck.  I didn’t know I was delivering it here to you until just now.  For the record, I just wanted you to know that if you are lonely as I am; we don’t have to find happiness in a box” he said winking his eye at me.

Inside I was fired up and all I could think of was killing Wendy.  This is all her fault.  Picking up the box, I turned to walk inside without looking back.

“Have a good day Marcus.”
